Paisley – Toll and Manufacturing of speciality chemicals
Demonstrating a diversity and depth of services, our Toll and Contract Manufacturing division offers customers cost effective and efficient options to out source speciality chemical production for domestic or export markets. The ability to provide short lead times and relatively small batch runs, makes this service ideal for low scale new product development trials.
Having manufactured speciality chemicals on our Paisley site, once Europe’s largest whale oil refinery, for over 100 years the site now produces high quality lubricants and additives for a broad range of customers, world wide. Qualified staff, working in modern, extensive plant and laboratory facilities, provide a range of products for industrial applications, from offshore, wellhead lubricants and de-scalers to industrial dye and colour pigments and dispersing agents for the print industry. Research and development work is undertaken alongside trial production runs, providing a cost effective solution to new product development, which is a real benefit in low budget trials.
Secrecy agreements are available prior to development work, ensuring all discussions are undertaken in complete confidence.
Methodology currently employed includes a blending capacity of up to 35 – 40m3, filtration, oxidation, bleaching and distillation technology using high temperature and low vacuum processes, flash distillation capability including a flame proof area. Product can be packaged, labelled and shipped from 25 ltr packs up to bulk, ISO container with full MSDS and export paperwork completed as per customer description.
Raw material can be held on site prior to production with most blends available for delivery in short lead times, supporting the exacting demands of modern day supply chain, JIT demands.
